8/11/2011 Cathching up from September

It is safe to say this term has been racing by and there has not been a moment to say ’I have nothing to do!' In this blog I’m just going to be catching up on what I have been doing this term so far.

The Absent Model Tory Turk
This was excellent opportunity to work on a photo shoot. A completely different experience. The aim of the photo shoot was to for us was to see a different side to the creative industry. This October Marion and I had the chance to work with Tory Turk on her exhibition of the absent Model.  It was really interesting being able to style each of the shots with very elaborate clothes, putting the most unlikely outfits together that actually worked.  I was really pleased with the outcome of the shoot and really enjoyed it.

Love and Money
This term theatre arts have been split into two companies. My company is currently working on the the Play Love and Money by Dennis Kelly. For this production I have decided to do the acting side of the Show and I have been cast as the role of Jess. So far it has been a tough part but hopefully in the next three weeks all aspects of the show will click into place.

The Shape of Clouds
We are lucky enough to once again have the chance to further develop the physical Theatre piece  ‘The shape of clouds'. We are once again performing it at Oval theatre in London and have the chance to further develop the show. With the previous performances of the shape of clouds my role along with Marion Huard was to do costume for the show. This time however I have taken on the role of Stage manager. Rehearsals have started to take place and the crew has finally been put together so work is really starting to take place. It is very exciting!

Sweeny Todd
Next term the drama society has decided to put on the play Sweeny Todd. This I jumped at the chance of doing as it is an opportunity to work on period costume, I have always wanted to work on  period costume. It is a very ambitious play however a great challenge. Auditions are tomorrow and I am very excited to be involved in the audition process and can’t wait to get started on the production!
